A residential care home in the region has raised a fantastic amount for charity as well as gaining praise from a television actress.
Gateshead based Eighton Lodge raised a fantastic £1,000 after residents and staff took part in a one-mile Memory Walk and Emmerdale Star Charlie Hardwick said she was delighted with their efforts.
The Memory Walk was in aid of the Alzheimer's Society and event which has been taking place since 2002 and has raised over a million pounds for people living with dementia, something that effect over 750,000 people living in the UK.
